Mid-module Reports will be available on Saturday, November 1, in MyCSW. Mid-module Reports are communications of concern from a teacher to a student, a student's family, and a student's advisor. Mid-module Reports are written to provide students with an opportunity to address concerns, including, but not limited to, attendance, participation, missing work, and the quality of their work not meeting expectations. Students are expected to respond to Mid-module Reports by meeting directly with teachers to clarify any concerns and to develop a plan for addressing those concerns over the remaining weeks of the module. Only students who are not meeting expectations will receive a Mid-module report, so please note that not all students will receive a report.
Teachers will open grade books in MyCSW for you to see your student's progress thus far this mod.
If your student received a Mid-module report, we highly encourage them to attend open office hours to meet with the teacher of the class.
Any student wishing to request a course change for Mod 3 should email Academics@csw.org and their advisor no later than Friday, October 31.
Any student granted a course change is encouraged to order books for the new class as soon as possible, so you'll have them in time for the next mod. The Book List is available on the All Things Academic Tile in MyCSW.
The DEIB Office is encouraging students to apply for the Social Justice Leadership Institute, which will be held at Phillips Academy Andover on December 6–7.

In October, members of the CSW community gathered to celebrate a generous gift from artist Yan Lei and his wife, Clothilde Yang, parents of BeiBei ’28. The couple donated a striking original artwork titled “Ecstasy” to the school, a silkscreen on French handmade paper created earlier this year. The donation includes the first five pieces in a 99-edition series.
The Fall Wilderness Trip was back in action in the White Mountains! Each mod break wilderness trip welcomes students of all experience levels and splits up in to two groups. The introductory group made its foray into the Kinsman Mountains while the advanced group tackled Mt. Madison. Both groups enjoyed some hearty meals of korma, pasta, and hummus wraps, and they accomplished some serious elevation with spectacular views of fall foliage and mountain ridges. Overall, it was a successful trip, and we’re looking forward to returning to the area for the Winter Wilderness Trip!
We are proud to share that CSW's dining services team from CulinArt, led by Chef Jim Boyd, has been named a Compass Center for Excellence. This prestigious recognition honors dining teams that demonstrate best-in-class performance across key metrics including financial management, quality assurance and safety, wellness and sustainability, and innovation. This is the first time an independent school had earned such an honor.
