Artist Yan Lei P ’28 Donates Original Work to CSW
Read MoreIn October, members of the CSW community gathered to celebrate a generous gift from artist Yan Lei and his wife, Clothilde Yang, parents of BeiBei ’28. The couple donated a striking original artwork titled “Ecstasy” to the school, a silkscreen on French handmade paper created earlier this year. The donation includes the first five pieces in a 99-edition series. -
Dining Hall Staff Earns High Honors
We are proud to share that CSW's dining services team from CulinArt, led by Chef Jim Boyd, has been named a Compass Center for Excellence. This prestigious recognition honors dining teams that demonstrate best-in-class performance across key metrics including financial management, quality assurance and safety, wellness and sustainability, and innovation. CSW Musicians Shine in Community Performance
Read MoreThis past Sunday, four of our students, along with Music teacher Michael Weinstein, took part in a powerful performance of Fauré’s Requiem at First Church and Parish in Dedham. The concert was a beautiful collaboration between Opera UnMet, the Unitarian Universalist Urban Ministry in Roxbury, Project STEP, CSW student musicians, and volunteer choir members from local Unitarian Universalist congregations. -

Elyse Johnson '27 Competes with Team USA's Baton Twirling Team in Italy
This summer Elyse Johnson '27 and her duet partner Marissa Rufo earned a spot on Team USA's Baton Twirling team! She traveled to Turin, Italy in August to compete in the International Baton Twirling Federation Nations Cup, an international baton twirling championship. She qualified in Senior Duet at a national trial in January and is also the alternate for Junior 3-Baton.Read More -

AISNE Visiting Team: Welcome Reception
CSW is in the final step of our accreditation process with the Association of Independent Schools of New England (AISNE) and will host the 9-member visiting team November 2 - 5. The Welcome Reception on Sunday, November 2, 4:00 - 5:00 PM, is an opportunity for families to participate in this visit.
All CSW parents and guardians are invited.
RSVP by October 17. -
AISNE Visiting Team: In-Person Drop-in Session
CSW is in the final step of our accreditation process with the Association of Independent Schools of New England (AISNE). We will host the 9-member visiting team November 2 - 5. The In-Person Drop-In for Day Parents & Guardians on Monday, November 3, 7:45 - 8:25 AM, is an opportunity for families of day students to participate in this visit.
All parents and guardians of day students are invited.

Join us for a “punk rock” feminist spin on Bertolt Brecht's 1939 work, which explores Galileo’s story as narrated by his historically overlooked daughter, Virginia. The play spans his work as a teacher, revolutionary astronomer, physicist, and father. -

End-of-Mod 2 Parent/Guardian Coffee
About CSW End-of-Mod Coffees: We invite you to join us at the end of every mod for a parent/guardian coffee. These coffees are occasions to both socialize and learn about what your student is up to at CSW. Each End-of-Mod coffee will take place in the Swope Room next to the Dining Hall at 8:30 a.m. The speaking programs will be live-streamed and recorded for those unable to attend. -

End-of-Mod 2 Gallery Walk
Parents and guardians are invited to join us for a scheduled Gallery Walk in the afternoon to view the End-of-Mod show. -
Readathon
WHAT IS IT? The CSW Readathon is an intentional day for students who LOVE reading to come together and celebrate in that joy. For 12 hours, students will engage in all types of pleasure reading. Bring what you want to read and simply read amongst like minded peers, faculty, and staff. We simply ask that you engage in just that: reading for pleasure. Please leave homework at home. Reading can include physical books, ebooks, audiobooks, webtoons, magazines, newspapers, and more. -

Young people come to CSW to learn how to learn and then put what they learn into action—essential skills they carry into their futures as doers, makers, innovators, leaders, and exceptional humans who do meaningful work in the world.
