What Sets Us Apart

Our comprehensive program offers more than we could ever fit into one page, but a few key elements make us stand out. 

The Module System

Because feeling seen fuels a love of learning.
By taking just three, 90-minute classes at a time, students can engage thoughtfully without the rush of back-to-back periods. And our unique 6x6 framework allows students to explore over 18 courses a year, encouraging them to take risks, try new things, and discover new interests. This flexible schedule gives students ownership over their learning, fostering unparalleled motivation and excitement.

Interdisciplinary Study

Because nothing important fits into a single category. 
Traditional schooling silos learning by department. There are science courses and there are English courses, with separate classrooms, separate teachers, and separate conversations. Here, through interdisciplinary classes like The Science and Story of Water Around the World, we blend seemingly disparate disciplines and invite students to explore complex topics from multiple angles—scientific, literary, historical, and personal—mirroring the way knowledge works in the real world.

The Social Justice Requirement

Because your generation doesn't wait for change, it makes it. 
We're proud to be the first independent school in the country to include a Social Justice Requirement among our graduation requirements. Students choose from a list of over 80 approved courses that examine structures of power and privilege; historical and contemporary issues from the perspectives of non-Western cultures and/or historically oppressed groups; and models of social change with the goal of advancing human rights and equity.
